 After HS, played in Denver for a while, drafted, then enlisted in Army. Ft Polk, Louisiana, Ft Ord, CA, Seoul Korea, Ft Sill OK. Houston,TX 1 year, 5 years Honolulu, HI, then 3 years UNK, and graduated Doctor of Pharmacy UNMC College of Pharmacy 1981. 1 year playing for Clearwater Bombers in Florida and been in Omaha since 1982. Played 30 plus years of fastpitch softball mostly with Broken Bow NE. Coached at Creighton in Omaha 7 years went to 4 WCWS. Helped out at Bellevue U. Was married, but now am happy. Had a beautiful, smart daughter Mandy who is now a senior at Drake University and plays softball for the Bulldogs. My life is following her team around and working as a pharmacist to pay for it. Love it. Looking forward to our next reunion. Last was a blast. Gene Gabus and I talk once in a while. I get a kick out of seeing his RAGBRAI crew when they start on this side of Iowa. I run into Dusters everywhere, especially at the pharmacy. Weird. Took a long while, but I learned how lucky we were to be raised in Holdrege and have the school we had then and still do. Always proud to have been a Duster.
