Ed Hollingsworth

After graduating from Holdrege High I attended Kearney State College for one year. I joined the Air Force in August 1967 and became a helicopter mechanic. I served one year in Vietnam and was stationed at F. E. Warren Air Force base in Cheyenne, WY until I was discharged.

While in Cheyenne I met my wife, Linda. We moved back to Holdrege where I worked for the State of Nebraska Dept. of Motor Vehicles as a driver's license examiner. While holding that position I also lived in Kearney and Hastings.

While in Hastings, Linda and I adopted our son, Tommy. We moved back to Cheyenne in 1975 where I went to work as a dispatcher for the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Later that year I began working for the Wyoming Army National Guard as a helicopter mechanic in a full-time technician position. In 1990 we lost Tommy to cancer. I served in Desert Storm from January through May 1991. I retired in 1998 with 26 years of military service. I began working for Sam's Club in the electronics department and was employed by Sam's for five years. I am now employed at JeldWen Window Manufacturing Company.
