Vicie Puls

Services for Victoria Ann Puls, 33, Kearney, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Banta-Torrey chapel in Alma with the Rev. Adam Ralston and Father W. Sladky officiating. Interment will be at Prairie Home cemetery.

Miss Puls died Thursday, January 1, 1981, of a gunshot wound. Buffalo county authorities are investigating the incident.

Born July 11, 1947 at Eustis, she moved to Holdrege with her parents in 1954, graduating from Holdrege high school in 1965.

She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, until moving to Kearney in 1968. She returned to Lincoln in 1969, and resided in Utah and Colorado from 1970-74. She moved to Republican City in 1974, and was employed by the Robert McElvey law firm in Alma from 1978 until returning to college at Kearney this past fall.

Miss Puls was baptized at the American Lutheran church in Eustis as an infant, and was confirmed at Mount Calvary Lutheran church in Holdrege.

She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, Lincoln.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Ardith and Elton Lutjeharms, Republican City; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Sill, Holdrege; two brothers: Spencer Puls, Manhattan, Kan.; and Bruce Puls, Salina, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Puls, her maternal grandfather, Clyde Sill, Holdrege; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Puls of Eustis.

A memorial fund has been established for the American Heart Fund.
