LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Beverly Jean (Brummer) Marshall, 71, of Lakewood, formerly of Holdrege, Neb., died Monday, July 6, 2015, in Lakewood.
She was born April 5, 1944, in Holdrege to Dick and Opal Brummer of Loomis, Neb. From an early age she had to help care for her family, and so she could be called “A Mother to Many.” She graduated from Holdrege High School in 1962 and Hastings Cosmetology before she moved to San Diego where she married Larry Rice. They later divorced, and she met and married Brent Marshall in 1978. Bev maintained a craft business for many years, until the death of her husband in 2009, and then with ailing health, moved to Colorado to be closer to family. She is survived by her sisters, Dixie Wartner and husband Randy of Lakewood, Shirley Johnson, wife of the late Larry Johnson, of Oklahoma City, Marilyn Smith and husband Doug of San Diego and Marlene Scoville, wife of the late Stan, of Iola, Kan.; brother, Harold Brummer and wife Pam of Pleasanton, Neb.; and all of their families. She was a helper and friend to many and will be missed. |
