 Brian Jeffery Lambert, 35 of North Platte passed away November 3, 2009 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center . He was born to the union of Ellis and Jean Maas Lambert on December 10, 1973 in Holdrege, NE. He attended District R-7 country school through the 8th grade, then attended public school in Holdrege, graduating with the class of 1992. He enlisted in the United States Navy after graduation and served as an aircraft refueler, stationed on the U.S.S. Kearsarge. He was stationed out of Pascagoula, MS and sailed around the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean . After being discharged he attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln for engineering. On October 19, 1997 he married Holly Berndt on a cruise ship in the port of San Juan , Puerto Rico with his family present. The couple lived in Lincoln, NE where Brian worked at Sam's Club as an over night manager. He also attended South East Community College , receiving his associate's degree in applied science as a machinist/tool and dye. In March 2007 he hired on the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor/carman in North Platte .
Brian was an excellent wood crafter and carpenter. He remodeled his entire home from scratch. He was an avid hunter since the time he was a boy. As Brian was growing up, the family always gathered around the table and read scripture. He also loved camping and boating. The pride of his life was his family and he was a wonderful father and husband.
Brian is survived by his wife, Holly; daughter, Shyanne; son, Ashton all of North Platte, NE; parents, Ellis and Jean Lambert of Holdrege, NE; sister, Lisa (Troy) Heusinkvelt of Dannebrog, NE; grandmother, Phyllis Maas of Holdrege, NE; nieces and nephews, Madison and Brady Heusinkvelt of Dannebrog, NE, Jacob, Cole and Stetson Davis of Powell, WY, and Colton, Levi, Gabby, Dominique, Sevanna and Toby of Lakeside, NE; mother and father-in-law, Cindy and Dale Berndt of Lakeside, NE; sister-in-law, Candice (Paul) Davis of Powell, WY; and a brother-in-law, Scott (Tonya) Berndt of Lakeside, NE.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother; maternal grandfather, Hubert Maas; and paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Vera Lambert.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Kevin Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. in Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City, NE with Reverend Corey Jenkins officiating.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
