Bio

 Worked almost 30 years as a research scientist for Syngenta Seeds Inc. Retired in 2005 and was told to find something to do before I drove my wife crazy. I had spent 10 years in Stephen Ministry with my church and decided to go back to school and get another degree. In 2007 I graduated from Doane College with a Master of Arts degree in counseling. I am currently a licensed mental health and substance abuse counselor. I'm sure this will be a source of amusement for my classmates. A little bit of crazy is not necessarily a bad thing. I have been married to the former Cindy Brotzman for 35 years this August. We have three children, a daughter Erin, and twin sons Thomas and Andrew. Erin is the executive coordinator the Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra. Tom is at UNMC studying to become a pharmacist, and Drew is back home after 4 years as a U.S. Marine. He will be going back to school later this year and moving out. Empty nest again. Cindy works for UNL at the city campus union scheduling their events. I work for myself as a contract counselor. I like my work and hope to be useful and productive for many years, when I'm not planning a flyfishing trip.
