Bio

 After graduation, I attended Kearney State College and graduated in 1966. I then started teaching High School in Loomis that same year. In 1966 I also bought the skating rink in Holdrege where I had worked at when I was around 12 to 16. I ran that on the weekends and was teaching during the week. I got married to Joyce Reier from Sumner in 1967. I received my Masters Degree in 1969. After teaching 4 years at Loomis, we moved to Arizona in 1970. Our first born was a boy named Wade in 1972. The following year brought the birth of our daughter Trena. I continued to teach until 1981. By that time I was very involved in my own business and retired from teaching. Being involved in business gave us some opportunity to travel a bit. In 2001 we had the opportunity to travel to Sweden to visit my fathers birthplace. What a wonderful experience. After 25 years of running my own business, we retired in 2005. In 2008 we traveled again to Sweden and met 2 cousins that we did not know existed until we took the trip back in 2001. We now have 4 wonderful grandchildren. We still get to travel some and enjoy a cooler summer (30 degrees) in our cabin on Mt. Lemmon just an hour from our Tucson home.
