 I've experienced two brushes with death, a divorce, the death of a beloved pet dog and the death of both my parents with whom I had been living. To counterbalance all that--I had the unique privilege to live in a house where three generations lived together, have a good son (Skip) and daughter-in-law (Jennifer) and a gorgeous granddaughter (Kate Madison). I have a large network of friends (including classmates and their mothers) who support me and give me a sense of worth, an abiding faith in God and His Son, and a faithful nurse and friend, Angie Naiman, who has been with me 33 years. Blessings have outweighed the challenges. I have fond memories of being in school in the 50s and 60s with my classmates that graduated from Holdrege High in 1962.
