After high school I attended Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois and graduated with a BA in Math. I married Marlene two weeks after graduation and returned to farm north of Funk for 11 years.

I felt God's call into ministry so I enrolled at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in March of 1979 and graduated with the class of 1982. I served as Pastor of Faith Bible Church in Greenfield, Illinois from 1982 - 1987. I served as Pastor of Grace Bible Church in Creighton, Nebraska from 1987 - 1999. I am presently serving as Pastor of Rose City Evangelical Free Church of rural Eagle Bend, Minnesota and Leslie Community Church of rural Osakis, Minnesota. Marlene and I had three sons and we now have 5 grandchildren.
