My family moved to Central City in 1966. I graduated from CC then went to College at Kearney State College. I married and moved back to Holdrege in 1971. I was employed at Artistic Woven Labels from 1972 to 2003 when the plant closed. In 2004, I was hired by HPS to be Secretary at Washington Elem and then moved to the Superintendent's office in the Summer of 2004 to current.I raised both of my daughters in Holdrege. After college, both daugthers moved back to Holdrege, married & are raising their families here. I am thrilled to have my grandchildren here in Holdrege and of course are all Holdrege Dusters. My husband, David is Branch Manager/VP of Republican Valley Bank in Orleans, NE. We also co-manage the Holdrege Country Club. Although I graduated from Central City, Holdrege will always be my home. |
