Bio

 After graduation, I moved to New York to attend Concordia College. I graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in English/Creative Writing. I worked in Concordia's Admission Office for two years, then joined the NYC Teaching Fellows Program. As part of the program, I taught English at Harry S. Truman High School in the Bronx, one of NYC's high-need schools in exchange for the NYC Department of Education paying for my Master's Degree. I graduated from Lehman College in 2007 with my M.S. Ed. in Secondary English Education. In July, my fiance Steven and I moved to Coolidge, Arizona. We met at Concordia when I was a freshman and started dating in 2003. We were married in Las Vegas on July 28. Steven is finishing classes to be a high school Social Studies teacher and I am currently teaching 7th & 8th grade writing at San Manuel Jr/Sr High School in San Manuel, Arizona.
