      Memorial Services for Marie T. Moore will be held in August
      and publication of services will be announced at a later
      time.
      
       Marie T. Moore, 93 years of age, of Holdrege, was finally
      dealt the hand she couldn’t win, and now the dealing’s
      done. She was a formidable opponent, but the grim reaper
      stacked the deck against her. Marie departed this life on
      Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Holdrege Memorial Homes.
      
       Marie Thelma (Krempp) Moore was born October 25, 1914 in
      Peoria, Illinois, the second of five children of Henry and
      Hannah (Dively) Krempp. She received her primary education
      in rural Illinois and Phelps County schools and then
      graduated from Holdrege High School in 1930. After
      graduation, she attended Peru State College, where she took
      business courses.
      
       On June 25, 1937 she was united in marriage to Marion
      J. Nelson and to this union three children were born:
      Dennis, Dean, and Virginia. She was preceded in death by her
      husband, Marion in 1979. Marie was united in marriage to
      Newton Moore in 1982 and to this union, there were four
      step-daughters: Janet, JoAnn, Judy, and Jackie. The couple
      made their home in Holdrege, where Marie worked both as a
      bookkeeper for Bard Equipment of Loomis and Holdrege from
      1956 to 1977 and was a devoted homemaker. On July 29, 1997
      Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Newton.
      
       Marie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of
      Holdrege, where she enjoyed being involved in the United
      Methodist Women. She also enjoyed being involved in various
      activities at the Holdrege Senior Center. Marie had a
      life-long love for card playing, enjoyed dancing, fishing,
      and traveling throughout the years.
      
       Besides her two husbands, she was also preceded in death by
      one step-daughter, Janet Faber; one brother, Henry Krempp;
      two sisters: Effie Bambrough and Jennie Davis and three
      brothers-in-law, William Bambrough, Warren Davis, and Vilner
      Olson.
      
       She leaves to mourn her passing two sons: Dean Nelson and
      wife, Rita of Coon Rapids, MN, and Dennis Nelson and wife,
      Louise of Livermore, CA; one daughter, Virginia Nelson of
      St. Louis, MO; three step-daughters: JoAnn Everett and her
      husband, Dave of Holdrege, NE, Judy Ganser and special
      friend, Richard Hite of Holdrege, NE and Jackie Von Loh and
      her husband, John of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Blanche
      Olson of Holdrege, NE. Marie will also be missed by her 18
      grandchildren: Vicki Calhoun, Barb (Chip) Eaton, Mike (Kris)
      Everett, Todd (Micheala) Everett, Steve Faber, Charles
      (Jeri) Ganser, Chris (Bonnie) Ganser, Jennifer Ganser,
      Justin (Tracy) Ganser, Monica (Al) Luttman, Mike
      C. (Michelle) Nelson, Mike T. (Sue) Nelson, Richard (Kathy)
      Nelson, Robert (Hope) Nelson, Tim (JoAnn) Nelson, Valerie
      (Jay McMahon) Nelson, Don (Laura) Von Loh, Jason Von Loh; 35
      great-grandchildren: Alicia Elliott, Danielle, Jamie,
      Joshua, Kayme, Keisha, and Meredith Everett, Cin Jin Faber,
      Cassidy, Danielle and Dylan Ganser, Blake, Rachel and Sarah
      Luttman, Alisha and Shawnee McKay, Devin and Tyler McMahon,
      Angie, Alec, Laura, Robbie, Steven, Tori, and Zach Nelson,
      Aaron and Brent Penny, Ashley Rayburn, Jasmine Stokes,
      Ashley, Christian, Elizabeth, Jadan, Javan, and Joshua Von
      Loh; 2 great-great-grandchildren: Lauren and Sophia Everett;
      as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
      friends.
      
       There will be no visitation, the family is honoring Marie’s
      wish for cremation.
      
       A memorial has been established in her memory and suggested
      to the Salvation Army, the Moses Hill Covenant Church of
      rural Loomis, Nebraska or First United Methodist Church of
      Holdrege.
