Bio |
I moved around a lot after graduating from Kearney College in 1970. I was a VISTA Volunteer in Wichita, KS, a camp counselor at a Jewish sponsored camp in New Jersey, a receptionist in Boston, MA, a teacher in Maywood, NE, drove a grain truck, worked at a factory, and was a youth worker at a church. My parents, Arnold and Pauline Pankonin died in the late 70's. I married David Gieske in 1983, Kasson, MN, where I was serving as Director of Christian Education. I studied for my MDiv at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, being ordained in the ELCA in 1988. Dave and I moved to Spring Valley, MN where I served over eleven years as an Associate Minister. I was called to French Creek Lutheran Church in Jan. 2000. This is the first time I have lived in WI, in the country and been a solo Pastor. Dave does detail car restoration on '55-'57 Chevy's. We have a black cocker spaniel named "Chevy." We like to travel. |
