Bio

 I married Sara Connelly in 1991. She works for Educational Service Unit #1 as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher and has been in teaching since 1992. We have two great kids. Rebecca (1993) graduated from Wayne State College in 2015 with a degree in Biology/Pre-Dentistry, and is in dental school at UNMC in Lincoln to become a dentist. Ryan (1999) loves anything that involves a ball, and is our head animal trainer. Our dog, Bailey, and I, are certified as a therapy dog team. She loves visiting the kids in my school. We moved from Holdrege to Wayne in 1997 for my teaching job. I’ve been teaching 2nd grade ever since. I coach high school boys and girls track (high jump and sprinters). My hobby is being the public address announcer for Wayne High School, and for Wayne State College volleyball and men/women basketball. The school year is spent catching ball games, while the summer is spent catching rays at the lake.
