Bio |
After graduating from HHS I attended Kearney State for 1 year and UNL for 1 year. After my dad suffered a heart attack I returned to the family farm. Our feedlot operation is 37 Cattle Co. and we have a capacity if 6000 head. My son T.J. and I share duties on a 250 head cow/calf herd. Other than the farm and feedlot our family was very involved in 4-H, FFA, and sports. Lots of miles on the road showing and cheering for HHS. I have been on the Phelps County Ag Society (fair board) for many years, a FFA alum, and other organizations involved with farming and cattle feeding. My pastime consists on watching or traveling to a NASCAR race, going to rodeos (as an observer to watch daughter and son-in-law rope), and just being involved with buying and selling cattle every day. My wife Sue, substitutes at HHS and reminds me that we got away with things then that would put us in jail now!! We are grandparents to two great little "red headed" grandaughters (son T.J and wife Kaylyn's) and love every minute of it. I also help my wife on a lot of weekends with her business "A Marry Event" which is a wedding/event planning business. When I retire my aspiration is to be a Walmart greeter of which my family tells me no one would get in the store because I'd have to talk to everyone. Plans are to stay in the cattle feeding business and enjoy my family in the future. |
